EXCELLENTVerified My dad and I took the UTV tour August 23, 2026. We had a great time! It was both of our favorite part of our trip to Lake Placid!! Farmhouse Snowmobiling and UTVs was a quick and easy 25 minute ride from Lake Placid and a must to try if you like adventure. I've been in a few ATV/UTV adventures before, Jim Thorpe, PA, Colorado, and the Dominican Republic, to name a few. This was the most organized adventure yet and they didn't expect you to buy extra add ons when you arrived. They provided helmets and eye wear or you can use you're own. We also had the option of wearing rain suits (or whatever they are called) over our clothes which was provided by Farmhouse Snowmobiling and UTVs to stay dry and clean from the mud since it rained the night before. This made driving through the puddles so much more fun since I knew I wasn't going to ruin my clothes!!! You also have the option of going slow through the mud but what's the fun in that!?! With the suit we went all out!! In Jim Thorpe, we were not warned in advance and had to throw our clothes out in the dumpster and change right away and in the Dominican we had to buy face coverings to protect us from the dust also not told of this in advance. The UTVs were well maintained and we were given instructions on how to use them. We traveled through various trails - farm fields and woods. You have the chance to go through many twists and turns as well as straightaway's to build up speed if you'd like. At one point, we stopped for a scenic view and some pictures. Lee did stop us at one point to make sure we were okay, were having a good time, and to see if we had any questions. Lee also made suggestions on some other things to do in the area. He even went out of the way to call a few people to look into some of the adventures we were inquiring about. We drove up to Whiteface and the views were amazing!! They provided helmets with shields so we didn't need to bring goggles. They showed us how to use the snowmobiles button and throttle wise and how to work together by moving our bodies with the turns as well. The guide was very helpful. Our group had a few tumbles that he attended to. He was easy to follow and made sure everyone stayed together. They had everyone organize in groups that wanted to go faster in the front and slower in the back. The trails were nice with some long straight fast areas and some winding more scenic trail like areas. I had never ridden a snowmobile, but been motorcycling and Jet Skiing for years, so I was able to catch on quick. Front of the pack is where you want to be to go faster, people with kids and those who wanted slower, were to the rear. It worked well. The guides were nice, and very helpful. The scenery was picturesque. The trails were fun. We rarely just went in a straight line. So many undulations and turns. It truly was so much fun. Like being in a real-life post card. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a family-friendly adventure in the area. My family and I went on the Sports UTV trail ride. We rode on dirt trails beside farm fields, through the woods, through mud, and on grass trails. It was fun as we got up to speed and went thru twists and turns. Our group got stuck in the mud here and there but that's part of the experience. The only warning I would give those who haven't experienced a mudding and dirt trail ride is to wear clothes and shoes you don't mind getting dirty and if you can wear the goggles they offer instead of just safety glasses so you don't get dust in your eyes.Posted on TripadvisorVerified Great time UTV Riding We had a wonderful time UTV riding through the woods. Adrenaline rush with many laughs because we had so much fun! Beautiful scenery too... highly recommend this outfitter vs other in Lake Placid as the crew is very prompt to return call and friendly. I don't need to be reminded to wear waterproof pants, and did not like the attitude of the other company that offers snowmobiling. Always wanted to Snowmobile in the Adirondacks, finally did it! The Crew that was working there were great and accommodating! I would highly recommend it!
